Isn’t it funny the way that people think,![]()
The way they take a few steps back![]()
When you say you’ve seen a shrink,![]()
I know it’s not intentional![]()
I’m sure they’re not aware,![]()
But the moment they take those few steps back![]()
They have started to compare.![]()
![]()
And isn’t it funny the way people seem quite shaken![]()
When you mention mental illness![]()
Words they seem to think they have mistaken, ![]()
I know it’s not intentional![]()
And perhaps they don’t realise,![]()
But their horror stares right back at you ![]()
You can see it in their eyes.![]()
![]()
Now, I think we need to guide them![]()
We must help them understand,![]()
That just like any sickness mental illness isn’t PLANNED,![]()
And if one in four will suffer![]()
Then the silence we must rid,![]()
It’s time for us to all speak out![]()
It’s time to lift the lid!![]()
